Portraits Gallery
Portrait sessions are collaborative experiences between you and me. Together we talk through your hobbies and interests, your background, and we create a plan for making a set of images that captures as many facets as we can in a short amount of time. Whether these portraits are for work, school, dating, or just for fun, we intentionally plan how the resulting set of photographs will look and feel. I want you to LOVE what you see in these images.
My approach to portrait sessions…
I approach my portrait sessions the same way I approach my family and brand sessions. That is to really see the person (you!) in front of my lens. Beyond that, I direct you to show me your most flattering angles and realest expressions. If you’re wondering if you will feel awkward, the honest answer is that you might... for the first few minutes. But I promise you that it will pass (and quickly!). No one has ever spent an hour in front of my lens and remained nervous and awkward the whole time. 😉
Portrait sessions are collaborative in nature, in that we talk through how you want to be photographed, what type of clothing will suite you best, and which locations are the perfect backdrops for our session. I encourage people to have a few different looks so that it doesn’t look like all your images were taken on the same day and in the same location. I’ll give you honest feedback on your clothing choices and suggest things that could enhance your look. I want you to look your best just as much you do.
Our shoot day should feel relaxed and FUN, and I guarantee a quick editing turnaround. My overarching goal is make a set of images for you to share with the world that both is stylistically cohesive but varied enough to showcase the many sides of you.
