Portrait Sessions for Dating Apps

Let’s state the obvious - the dating scene in the 2020’s is a very different beast than the dating scene of previous decades. These days, you not only need a curated online dating profile, you need a curated profile with good or even GREAT photos of yourself, especially if you want to standout in a sea of other individuals. These days, many people opt to hire a photographer to make those great (and flattering!) photos they need. It’s an investment for sure, but some folks see it as an investment in themselves with the potential for a significantly higher ROI (and that concludes my business speak 😉). So how do you know if hiring a professional is the right move for you?

You Need to Create a New Dating Profile

You’re revamping or creating a new online dating profile and you want compelling, flattering images that don’t look overly staged or Photoshopped. You no doubt want images that feel real and feel like the real you, though you want something with better light and a little more polish than your everyday snapshot. I help folks create a varied set of images that both have a cohesive feel to them AND look different enough that they don’t look like they were taken on the same day. I do this by helping you pick the right clothing and the right locations.

Professional Photos Sound Daunting

You’ve put off having photos made because you hate being in front of the camera. The good news is I consider half my job is making you feel comfortable and relaxed. Nearly all of my portrait clients have felt the same way you do and they all report the their session experience felt easy and even fun. The truth is almost no one feels super relaxed while they’re being photographed - myself included! Selfishly, I want you to feel really good while I’m taking your photo. I want the actual process to feel… dare I say fun? At the end of the day, if you feel good then it shows in the photos and we both get to go home happy.

You Want Portraits for More Than Just Dating Profiles

You’re in a certain chapter in life that feels important to document. Maybe you’re there is a big change on the horizon. Maybe you’ve recently hit an important life milestone. Maybe you’re embracing that this is the youngest you’ll ever be and why not have pretty portraits made just because you want to. Not everyone who hires me to do portraits is using them dating profiles. Having beautiful portraits of yourself (or yourself and your special someone) is a gift that will be loved and cherished (more and more in the years to come). I’m a portraitist above all other category of photographer and any opportunity to make portraits is one I gladly embrace.
