What Happens at a Portrait Session?
These days, when our online presence requires quality and curation to stand out, many people opt for professional lifestyle portraits in lieu of assorted phone snapshots. This is especially true for folks who are entering the dating scene and want an elevated collection of images for their profiles on dating apps.
Professional Portraits Showcase the Best of You
The folks who hire me already have a handful of images they could use for their profile, but they have concerns that the photos they have are: too old, aren’t that flattering, have other people in them, don’t really represent them in a true way. All of these are justified reason to not use those existing images. You want images that show what you like like now (not how you look your sophomore year in college 😉). You want images that are, above-all, flattering. This can’t be overstated! Luckily, using the right light and a little posing direction can make a huge difference in how you look in photos. You want photos that showcase your personality. By incorporating the right location, wardrobe, and activities, we work together to create a backdrop that shows you being you for your portrait session.
Portrait Sessions Create a Cohesive Set of Images
While portrait sessions tend to involve a change of clothing (or two) and often a couple of different locations, the images still have an integrated thread to them. Beyond the fact that they’re all shot within the span of about an hour, my signature way of using light and my approach to photo editing create “a look” that carries across the entire set of images you receive. This cohesion helps people better understand what you’re all about!

I’m grateful we connected and LOVE how these images turned out.
